Piotr Orzechowski is scaling clinical-grade triage with Infermedica, evolving from early symptom checkers to a Medical Guidance Platform that spans intake, triage, and follow-up. Think white-label, API-first technology adopted by payers, providers, and tech partners across dozens of countries—built on a decade of medical knowledge engineering and product refinement. The wager is disciplined: automate what’s routine, keep clinicians in the loop, and turn better navigation into access, efficiency, and trust at population scale.

AI will be able to prescribe and diagnose as accurately as doctors today over the phone.
The journey began with a simple idea—Akinator for symptoms—then moved through Bayesian prototypes, a white-label product, and finally an API strategy that let health systems embed guidance where patients already are. Flagship partnerships validated the model; COVID stress-tested it and accelerated multi-language deployment. The current focus is a modular platform (intake, triage, post-visit follow-up) that reduces operational burden while generating clean, explainable data for clinicians and payers. Orzechowski argues the sector needs two guardrails to keep momentum: marketing ethics (no inflated claims; evidence first) and regulatory courage—frameworks that enable safe AI adoption rather than stall it by design. Culturally, leaders should be unusually transparent and kind to innovators, because clear feedback can make or break early teams. And for talent, train broadly in AI and human skills; flexibility, communication, and purpose will differentiate what people—and platforms—can do next.
